Police Action may be
what they called it
In high school we did
not seem to know
Next we knew we were
off to war
Seems a long time ago
But to some just
yesterday
In our minds we know
We suited up for war
Not knowing where to
go
Thinking of fighting
in foreign lands
And fighting as G I
Joe
The fighting was
intense
As the television
would show
But the facts filed
volumes
They wouldn’t know
This Police Action we
were fighting
Was to them a big show
For us a big War
With rules we only
know
Our country was
growing weary
And our government was
tired of its foe
After winning all our
battles
They pulled us from
the Action not wanting any more
No matter what you
call it
To us we the horror
and dealt with the gore
And to call it a
Police Action
Should be an act of
War
